The Road Trip: Around the World in Combi

Logo Road Trip They left Toulouse there nearly a year - specifically July 7,2012 - to make a world tour Combi.Them,it is Sebastian and Soizic, friendly couple who chose Toulouse a beautiful Combi Split Deluxe Blue for go on an adventure.

All begun in Toulouse,a city from which our adventurers joined Rotterdam in the Netherlands to send their faithful companion on the other side of the Atlantic ... After many adventures,and a passage through New York and Canada (unfortunately without Combi),they finally get their vehicle on August 16 in New Jersey.Then follows an incredible journey through the most beautiful locations in the United States,they crossed from east to west.

12, 000 km in Combi across the United States!

Niagara Falls,Great Lakes,Mount Rushmore,Yellowstone,Salt Lake City,Yosemite,San Francisco,Los Angeles,Las Vegas,Grand Canyon,Monument Valley,then back to Los Angeles via the famous Route 66.In all,no less than 12, 000 Km made only two months on American soil.

The Combi is then loaded into a container and take the direction of Singapore.But transit between Los Angeles and Singapore lasts a month.Sebastian and therefore in Soizic opportunity to visit Hawaii,Japan and finally Bali.

Focus on Asia

After waiting about a week their Combi Singapore," The Road Trip "- since it is the name of their journey - heads they travel to Malaysia for more than two weeks.It is then that they will travel to Thailand to spend Christmas and the New Year in Bangkok.

Then comes Cambodia for two weeks and a half.Unfortunately,Sebastian and Soizic can not pass the Vietnamese border with their Combi.They then travel to southern Laos and exchange their faithful four wheels for motorcycle and backpacks.In return,they back the Mekong River and then join Thailand.

Try Bangkok Air's pass

It's called the discovery pass and you have to get it through a travel agent in the US before you leave.
It won't take you to Vietnam -but will take you all over Thailand and to Cambodia - either Siem Reap or Phnom Penh.
One suggestion - why not narrow it down to two or three destinations? that way you might be more relaxed and have a chance to see more.
If you want a really chilled-out island, my suggestion is koh yao. You can get their by boat from either Krabi or Phuket.
If you do go to Phnom Penh, be sure and take the Khmer architectural tour - you can arrange for a private guide even if they don't have a tour on
