The main idea that came to mind on a trip to Bangkok to enjoy a shopping. As a woman,it is a reason to spend more than 1000 euros. After reading the review on this destination,I decided to live the adventure last month.
Choosing between a flight and a whole range formula
It was my first trip to Bangkok.By using many travel sites,I found some good deals. And is not yet expert in the field,I relied on suggestions from travel agencies online. From Paris,I saw a plane ticket from 615 euros. It seemed grasped from easyvol.com .For a first come, choose all-inclusive formula was the best option because it would be difficult to find a hotel in a large city.
I found a ticket on Zenvoyages aircraft was quite cheap and easy to book.At a price of 1259 euros,I got the flight, transfer, full board and seven relaxing days at the Best Western Bangtao Beach Resort and Spa.It is 40 minutes from the airport, close to the sea and shops. Its relaxation area caught my impression. After a full day of shopping,I relaxed in the steam room and sauna.
Apart from the change of scenery, shopping is a major undertaking in the capital of Thailand business.Throughout the city,I discovered countless small shops and nomadic traders with their little carts.Having already spent 1259 euros for the trip, this is the best place to buy clothes, souvenirs and handmade cheap. This has not prevented me from making a jump in malls, including Mah Boon Krong.
On weekends, travel the Chatuchak Market is located north of the city of Bangkok was a real treat.I was spoiled for choice between wood carvings or silk, silver jewelry, bags, batiks and cultured pearls. Then I will explain in my shop on my return to Paris to get back the cost.It was a way to enjoy a ride in the big city of Bangkok.Tired of doing the rounds of the market, the hotel offered me a massage in the spa center.
Before I decided to book a trip to more than 1000 euros,I would compare seizure options.Ultimately, pay such a sum was worth.

Yes, definitely get a guidebook. BUT, beyond that.....
Thailand is a great destination and very inexpensive. You will have a blast. My sister and I spent a week there in 2005. One week isn't enough to see even a fraction of the country, but it's a good start. We started in Bangkok (as most people do), for two days. We spent it touring the temples, the markets, and taking a long tail boat d...d regulary.
Next trip we plan to go up North to visit the hilltribes.
Don't know what else to share as I don't know what your interests are, or what type of vacation you are looking for. The internet though has a WEALTH of information. If there is anyting specific you want to know, just ask. I'll try to answer it (of course, I don't have all the answers....we were only there a week).

Thanks. I'm only a happy snapper...
We went to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, etc. How long have you got? I assume 2 weeks.
Use BKK as the hub. Not only do Cathay and Sing air have return economy tickets at the moment for less than $800, but Bangkok is a hub for most of those countries. Bangkok airways is great, just like the old Reno Air.
Fly to BKK. You will get ... you can only get a taste, then Saigon is a great city to taste). You won't get to see Ho Chi Min in his tomb glowing pink but, hey he's preserved for prosperity, right?
BKK - SIAM REAP - SAIGON - BKK (2nights in BKK) then separate ticket
BKK- Laos - BKK
With Laos, give little time to Vieteniene unless you have the time.
