In November last year I took a dream vacation with my husband through Thailand and Cambodia (Those who follow me on instagram, @ sophiaalckmin, already have a pretty good idea of whatâ € ™ s to come on these next posts).
Since Iâ € ™ ve already noticed que traveling tips are very appreciated around here, Iâ € ™ ATVs posts divided by the city, so I can write a bit more about each place and add a lot of pictures, brace yourselves, my husband and I are crazy about photography and we outdid ourselves on this trip! To start, Iâ € ™ ve Decided to create an introduction.
My itinerary was: in Thailand, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket and then in Cambodia, Siem Reap. We Traveled through London, so I took the opportunity to spend three days over there at the end of the trip.
Every destination I'll put where I hosted and tours I've done for the day, so you have a sense of time. But already advance that the trip was a little race, I woke up very early every day (up to 5:30 am), we will have no hint restaurant, I could not go out to dinner in any of the cities we visited ... but all the rest will compensate.
I'll start with a simple diquinha but that was news to me, never had been staying at a hotel within the airport (the hotels were close, but never inside), further conexão. In a way I arrived early in London and as the My flight to Bangkok was the night I got a hotel inside the airport even able to take a shower (because it took me almost two days to arrive in Bangkok) and leave the bags (we can not dispatch the bags with as much time in advance), and still managed to leave to wander. Inside the airport in London there are a few options, but as my terminal arrival and departure was 5, I opted for the Sofitel, is very practical, no need to get Ã'nibus, train, or taxi is about 200 meters from the landing. Anyway, I think it's worth it for those who make long journeys and plenty of free time between flights.
I enjoyed Laos alot2005-03-04 10:48:03 by wat2dowat2do
I went in 2001. Bought a "package" from a Bangkok travel agent that included visa for crossing Thai Laos border up at Chang Rai, a boat trip down the Mekong for a few days, overnight accomodation at a french owned riverbank hotel, meals and dropped us off at Luang Prabang. The travel agent also included air tickets from Luang Prabang back to BKK. Not really an organised package tour, so to speak... wonderful experience, but I would warn against hiking or travelling in the back country or in a small group. Read warnings about land crossings. Stick with an organised tour in a mainstream area.
If you're in the region anyways, tack on a few days in Siam Reap in Cambodia. You can fly in and out of BKK. It was as memorable as Laos for different reasons. (architechure vs the people)
