The Mysteries of Angkor heavenly and the Way of the Buddha
KHMER EMPIRE - THAILAND, LAOS AND CAMBODIA
Day 01, November 24, 2009 - ITALY - BANGKOK
Meeting of the lords participants at the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa, customs clearance and boarding and subsequent departure by scheduled flight to Bangkok. Meals and overnight on board. Day 02, November 25, 2009 - BANGKOK (dinner)
Arrival at the International Airport in Bankok and transfer to hotel. Guests will be given enough time to relax. Half-day excursion to the "Klongs" (river channels). On board a boat to long-tailed (long tail boat), you will enjoy picturesque scenes of life on the river, a journey through Bangkok more traditional, gliding silently along the banks of the residential district of Thonburi. The tour is scheduled to stop at the Temple of Dawn, the beautiful Wat Arun built on the model of the mountain primordial archetype, the Omphalos divine. Step in front of the Royal Barges, boats last examples of real wedding left in the world.
Day 03, November 26, 2009 - BANGKOK (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Full day visit to the "Venice of the East". Departure at 8:30 am - Visit to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) and the Royal Palace, a magnificent complex of buildings embellished by the massive use of gold and mosaics. The Royal Palace, shows the architectural lines of European influence while preserving the unique characteristics of Thai style. Inside you can admire the frescoes taken from the poem Ramayana. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), consisting of more than 100 buildings, is famous for the ancient Emerald Buddha housed inside. A short Tuc Tuc (the colorful three-wheeled taxi) brings us to the oldest temple in Thailand, Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), which houses inside a giant statue of the Reclining Buddha. It then proceeds with a visit to Wat Suthat (Temple of the swing Giant), built during the reign of King Rama I. This temple is known for its beautiful and complex decorations that adorn its doors, decorations, which is believed to be the work of King Rama II. The next stage will take us to the Royal Palace Vimanmek also known as the 'Palace of the Clouds ", originally built in the Isle of Srichang (Gulf of Siam) by King Rama V (Chulalongkorn). Return to the hotel. Dinner Cruise aboard the Manhora for an unforgettable evening on the River of Kings.
