There are a lot of promo right now on Bangkok. I recommend that if you are traveling spécialiement after January 15 site:
/ hotels / super saver.htm
Prices are in Thai Baht.
Roughly € 10 = 500 Baht
Also this hotel Heritage Baan Silom (see their website: with great discounts)
well located and very clean. It is a small boutique hotel.
Also, located in Chinatown, very original
The Shanghai Mansion Hotel
or: The Siam Heritage Boutique Suites
It would be a shame to stay in hotels with no personality that displays the same rates! For me, the hosting is one of the basic components of a trip. One can find hotels, B & B, Guesthouses very nice, character, has rates below Ibis & Co.! It's still more fun and unique.
Ko Samui, you can visit this site
hotels will be posted between auters, price, so you can watch what seem best fit your budget on the one hand but also your expectations.
I do not pretend to know them all, but once you've made your list, perhaps I could be giving you more information if you wish.
A Ko Lanta I recommend the Moonlight Bay Resort ( ) or The LaLaanta Hideaway resort that offers an excellent price / quality ratio ( )
